About
Stephanie Obiefuna
I was born and raised in Como (Italy). Since a very young age, I displayed a strong interest in the humanities field, as I was aware of my intense desire and my calling to become a Psychotherapist.
Having lived in Italy gives me a chance to help a vast variety of clients due to the Italian language.
I studied Counselling and Psychotherapy with Addiction studies at the Irish College of Humanities and Applied Science, which left me with a BA level 7 degree.
I further obtained a BSC in Integrative Counseling and Psychotherapy at IICP College (Dublin)
Experience
I'm a Counsellor and a Psychotherapist
I have gained previous experience in suicide prevention/postvention through volunteering with the Haven Hub and through relevant courses. My academic journey in Ireland allowed me to develop counselling skills through numerous practice hours. This experience facilitated my understanding of human nature and its implications. I have also gained experience through numerous training and placement hours during my last year at IICP college; with further years of private practice. With the psychotherapy knowledge I have gained in the past four years, I am now using my counselling skills to further help people that might be facing a challenging time, especially after the recent difficult times of Covid-19.
